How Good Is The Leather?
Be very careful in selecting leather. All leather is not quality leather. There are all sorts of tricks used.
Some leather in furniture stores is corrected or split leather where the natural character has been removed.
Corrected leathers are sanded or buffed to remove the natural surface grain. On some leathers marks are
covered up with plastic filler and pigment paint which can crack. To add further insult to this beautiful material an
imitation grain is then stamped onto it, in an attempt to return some of the character that the sanding has removed.

The colours are tanned into the full thickness of the leather. Natural leather is warm in winter and cool in summer.
