Not all leathers are equal.
Most leathers used on furniture today are ‘corrected’ leathers which will wear quickly and lose the surface colour.
King Furniture luxurious ‘True Touch’ leathers have the colour tanned right through the entire thickness of the leather for durability
and style. They have a wonderful natural patina that will deliver reward to the eye and comfort to the body.

King Furniture ‘Viva’ leathers are double the thickness of normal leathers. ‘Viva’ is lightly buffed and printed to add to the texture
and assure uniformity. It is drum-dyed – this means the colour permeates through the full depth and then has a pigment finish applied
to the surface.
King Furniture ‘Puran’ leathers – something special! Developed for the interiors of Rolls Royce vehicles and now exclusive to King Furniture, the Puran leather regulates humidity and temperature to provide the ultimate in comfort to the body. Puran leather has a natural grain and a soft gloss finish – so beautiful in look and feel.
The drum pigmentation ensures even colour throughout the depth of the leather. An ecologically friendly production method delivers
a surface that will stand up to wear and tear and is fade-resistant - an easy-to-maintain product that is a joy to live with.
King Furniture uses only high quality European cow hide leathers from carefully selected tanneries.
Aniline and Semi-Aniline Leather
This leather is the most natural looking of all leathers. Actual surface grain and markings are always present and indicate genuine leather character. These leathers have very little or no protective treatments applied. Aniline leather provides maximum comfort and is luxurious to the touch. Slight colour variance and natural characteristics such as scars, folds or horn injuries are not quality defects – they are markers of top quality leather.
Corrected/Buffed Leather
This group of leathers has corrected grain where the top surface of the hide is buffed, like a sanding process to remove most imperfections. A new ‘grain pattern’ is then stamped onto the prepared surface. A uniform colour is achieved through the application of numerous layers of pigment.
Leather requires proper care and maintenance.
1. Clean and condition your leather regularly. Pay special attention to wear areas such as seats, arm rests and headrests which come in direct contact with skin or hair.4. All leather products will fade over time. Your leather will keep its luxurious look and feel for longer if kept out of direct or indirect sunlight.
5. Do not place your leather furniture close to any source of heating. Heat dries out and damages leather.
